The New York Yankees will honor the 10th anniversary of “Hamilton”’s Broadway opening night. The Aug. 25 game against the Washington Nationals will include limited edition merchandise and performances from past and current “Hamilton” company members. The game will begin at 7:05 p.m. at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx.

“Hamilton” alumnus Christopher Jackson, who received a Tony Award nomination for his featured turn as George Washington, will start the evening off with a performance of the national anthem. Renée Elise Goldsberry, who took home a featured actress Tony for her performance as Angelica Schuyler, will throw the game’s first pitch.

Also slated to appear are “Hamilton”’s current Schuyler sisters, Cherry Torres, Stephanie Umoh and Morgan Anita Wood, who will perform “God Bless America” during the seventh-inning stretch.

The first 10,000 guests in attendance for the game will receive a complimentary co-branded Yankees and “Hamilton” hat. Throughout the game, the Yankee Stadium video board will integrate “Hamilton”-themed elements into its presentation.

Attendees who would like to guarantee receiving the custom hat can purchase a special event ticket; $10 of each special event ticket will donated to Beyond the Stage Door, a nonprofit which offers educational programming designed to educate, empower and prepare undergraduate students or mid-career transitioning professionals from diverse backgrounds to careers in general, company and stage management. More information about the special event tickets can be found here.

Featuring a Tony Award-winning book and a score by Lin-Manuel Miranda, “Hamilton” is directed by Thomas Kail. Inspired by Ron Chernow’s 2004 biography of the first secretary of the treasury, the musical chronicles the key players in the founding of the United States of America. “Hamilton” opened on Aug. 6, 2015 and received a record-breaking 16 Tony nominations, winning 11. The opening-night cast reunited for a 10th-anniversary performance at the 2025 Tony Awards ceremony. In January, the Broadway production musical surpassed $1 billion in aggregate gross revenue.

“Hamilton” is produced by Jeffrey Seller, Sander Jacobs, Jill Furman and the Public Theater.
