Laura Leigh Turner to make Broadway debut in ‘Mean Girls’

Laura Leigh Turner will make her Broadway debut as Karen Smith in “Mean Girls” beginning March 10, the production announced Monday on Instagram. Turner, originally from Arkansas, attended Oklahoma City University, where she majored in musical theater, according to her personal website.

Laura Leigh Turner will make her Broadway debut as Karen Smith in “Mean Girls” beginning March 10, the production announced Monday on Instagram.

Turner, originally from Arkansas, attended Oklahoma City University, where she majored in musical theater, according to her personal website.

She will take over the role from original cast member Kate Rockwell, who will depart the show on March 8. Grey Henson and Barrett Wilbert Weed will also play their final performances that day.

Erika Henningsen will depart on Feb. 22. Henningsen’s replacement has not yet been announced.
