Grosses analysis: With one week to go in 2024-2025 Broadway season, box office remains consistent

In the penultimate week of the 2024-2025 season (the June-to-May statistical record of the industry, separate from the Tony Award eligibility calendar), the 40 current Main Stem offerings grossed $44,351,676. This marks eight consecutive weeks of Broadway’s box office posting a total revenue greater than $40 million, as well as a 2% increase from the week ending May 11, when the same number of productions were running. Moreover, for the week ending May 18 (week 52 of the 2024-2025 season), attendance increased a slight 0.7% from the previous week, with 336,494 admissions tallied, which marks the seventh week in a row when more than 300,000 admissions were counted. Capacity was up 0.1%, with 89.2% of all available seats in theaters filled.
