Grosses analysis: ‘Sunset’ breaks $2 million in final week; Orville Peck and Eva Noblezada exit ‘Cabaret’ on a high

For the week ending July 20, the 29 currently running productions grossed $33,847,950.

Broadway’s collective gross rose during the eighth week of the 2025-2026 season, while attendance slid. Total ducats for the 29 current Main Stem offerings came to $33,847,950, which represents a 3.2% increase from the previous week, ending July 13 (when one additional production was running). Attendance dipped slightly (down 1.1%) in comparison, with 257,595 admissions tallied. Capacity, however, grew 3%, with 93.8% of all available seats in theaters filled.

This week’s box office proved more robust than the figures recorded during the same week in the 2024-2025 season. This week’s $33.8 million total is 13.4% higher than the week ending July 14, 2024 (when three fewer productions were on the boards). This week’s 257,595 admissions is 6.2% greater than this week last season, and capacity remained consistent (up 0.4%).

The aforementioned gross-increase from the previous week is abetted in part by the fact that nearly every production (26 out of 29) saw a box office bump.
