Overall Broadway box office grosses continued their upward trajectory in Week 45 of the 2025-2026 season. The 40 shows currently running on Broadway brought in a total of $43,241,429 for the week ending April 5, an increase of 11.9% from the previous week. Attendance was up 13.7% to 334,631, even while capacity stayed relatively steady, increasing 0.1% to 93.4%. The gross increase is in part due to four new shows beginning previews — “The Balusters,” “Joe Turner’s Come and Gone,” “Proof” and “Schmigadoon!” — while the five shows that began previews the week prior played additional previews during Week 45. This brought the total number of previews played up from 56 to 84. What’s more, long-runners “Aladdin,” “The Lion King” and “Wicked” each played nine-performance weeks over the weekend that included Easter and Passover.

Compared to Week 45 of the 2024-2025 season, Broadway is down 1.4% from $43,839,272, despite having more previews (26 more) and performances (5 more) in Week 45 of this season. Attendance rose by 7.5% when comparing this season to the previous while capacity dipped by 1.6%. Average paid admission across all of Broadway also saw a decrease of 8.2% year over year.
