For the second consecutive week, Broadway’s box office increased in terms of gross, attendance and capacity. During the week ending Sept. 21, a week that included the second week of the NYC Broadway Week two-for-one ticket promotion, Broadway’s 28 collective offerings grossed $32,203,241. This marks a 6.9% increase from the week ending Sept. 14, when the same number of productions were running. Attendance for the week tallied 249,293, a 3.8% jump from the week prior. Capacity jumped 2.9%, with 93.9% of available seats in theaters filled. Not only is this percentage the highest recorded so far for the 2025-2026 season, but it is also the highest capacity clocked since the week ending April 20.
