Broadway’s box office dipped during week 12 of the 2025-2026 season. The Main Stem offered 29 productions for the week ending Aug. 17 (the same amount as the week prior) and reached a collective gross of $29,790,665. This marks a 3.9% decrease at the till from the week ending Aug. 10. Attendance had a smaller decrease (down 2.3%), with 245,807 admissions counted. Capacity fell 2.6%, with 88% of available seats in theaters filled, the first time overall capacity has fallen below 90% since the week ending June 15.

Compared to this week during the 2024-2025 season, the aforementioned $29.8 million gross figure is 3.2% less than the gross taken in during the week ending Aug. 11, 2024 (when 26 productions were on the boards), meaning Broadway grossed less week-over-week and year-over-year. Attendance, however, is up, with this week’s 245,807 admissions representing a 1.3% increase over the comparable week last season.
