Grosses analysis: Broadway up with ‘Giant’ and ‘Dog Day Afternoon’ in previews

For the week ending March 15, the 28 running productions grossed $32,759,044.

Broadway box office grosses continued to rise in Week 42 of the 2025-2026 season. The 28 shows currently running on Broadway grossed a total of $32,759,044 for the week ending March 15, up 16.5% from the previous week. Overall attendance increased by 6.2% to 253,822, while capacity increased by 3.4% to 94.6%. Two shows began previews this past week — “Giant” and “Dog Day Afternoon” — while “Every Brilliant Thing” officially opened at the Hudson Theatre on March 12. 

Compared to Week 42 of the 2024-2025 season, the overall Broadway gross increased by 15.6%, with Week 42 of the season prior at $28,328,355. Attendance was up by 7.4% this season, while capacity was up 2.8%.
