Overall Broadway grosses rose again in Week 43 of the 2025-2026 season. The 31 shows currently running on Broadway grossed a total of $36,769,360 for the week ending March 22, an increase of 12.2% from the previous week. Attendance was up by 7.5% to 272,806 with capacity up 1.9% to 96.5%. Three shows began previews this past week — “Becky Shaw” and “Cats: The Jellicle Ball” on March 18 and “The Fear of 13” on March 19 — bringing the total number of productions up from 28 the week prior. “Dog Day Afternoon” and “Giant,” which began previews on March 10 and 11, respectively, each played a full week of seven shows, compared to just five the week prior. In total, this resulted in 34 previews playing in Week 43, over 23 in Week 42.
Compared to Week 43 of the 2024-2025 season, box office grosses are down by 1.8%, from $37,459,896 to $36,769,360 this season. Attendance fell 1.7%, although capacity rose 1.4%. Despite having the same number of productions running as last year, the previous season’s Week 43 saw five new shows begin previews on the Main Stem, while this past week had just the aforementioned three.
