The Broadway Green Alliance (BGA) has announced the recipient of its 2026 College Green Captain Award. Madi Burt of Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, was recognized for outstanding leadership in sustainable collegiate theater as part of the BGA’s Green Captains program, in which theatermakers of Broadway, Off-Broadway, regional and student productions — in addition to theatrical unions, events and organizations — pledge to champion sustainable initiatives within their communities.
