ShowTown Theatricals, a management and producing office behind many Broadway, Off-Broadway and touring productions, has announced key new hires in its New York City office. New to the agency are general managers Megan Curren and Amanda Feldman and associate general managers Miguel Ortiz and Siani Woods.
“ShowTown’s greatest asset has always been the talent of our people,” said founder and CEO Nathan Gehan in a statement. “Expanding our general management team with this talented group is a huge win for the office. In addition to their years of experience, they also bring fresh ideas and diverse perspectives that reinforce ShowTown’s commitment to excellence in the industry.”
As a general manager, Curren’s Broadway credits include “John Proctor Is the Villain,” “Good Night, and Good Luck,” “Stereophonic” and “All In: Comedy About Love.” As a company manager, Curren’s past production credits include “To Kill a Mockingbird,” “Hello, Dolly!,” “Blackbird” and “King Charles III.” A member of the Association of Theatrical Press Agents & Managers, Curren is also an active participant in the Broadway League, serving on the labor committee.
Feldman is the general manager for Audible Theater where she has worked on “Sexual Misconduct of the Middle Classes” and “Creditors,” as well as “Mexodus” and the upcoming 25th anniversary reading of “The Laramie Project.” Feldman previously served as interim director of external affairs for the Vineyard Theatre, managing director of Classic Stage Company and managing director of Page 73.
Ortiz has been working in professional theater for nearly 25 years, getting his start as an usher at Disney’s New Amsterdam Theatre. Ortiz managed first and second national tours for 14 years before making the leap to Broadway to manage “A Bronx Tale,” “Summer: The Donna Summer Musical,” “American Utopia,” “A Beautiful Noise,” “Tammy Faye” and “Hell’s Kitchen.”
Woods’ previous general management credits include “Good Night, and Good Luck,” “The Roommate,” “Lempicka,” “Stereophonic,” “& Juliet,” “Shucked,” “Pictures from Home” and “Ohio State Murders.” Woods also worked on the Off-Broadway productions of “All-Nighter,” “Vanya” and “Pre-Existing Condition.”
ShowTown Theatricals, led by Gehan and partner/producer Jamison Scott, recently partnered with Audible’s Minetta Lane Theatre and Lincoln Center Theater (LCT) to manage those companies’ slates of productions. ShowTown’s current Broadway projects include “Oh, Mary!” and LCT’s “Ragtime.” ShowTown has also managed the Jimmy Awards since 2022.
