“The Book of Mormon” has entered into a partnership with the permanent-marker brand Sharpie ahead of the musical’s 15th anniversary this month. The show’s cast members will sport unique, anniversary-branded Sharpie markers during stage door signings and official cast encounters, using gold ink in a nod to the golden plates from which Mormonism founder Joseph Smith claimed to have translated religious texts.

This is Sharpie’s second partnership with a Broadway show; it previously debuted the “Stage Door Sharpie” at the first preview of “Queen of Versailles,” featuring pink branding and metallic silver ink.

“The Book of Mormon” will mark its 15th anniversary on March 24. To celebrate, the nine-time Tony Award-winning musical will hold a series of special performances featuring original cast members Josh Gad, Andrew Rannells, Nikki M. James and Rory O’Malley between June 9 and 14, in a series it has dubbed “Magical Mormon Mystery Week.” Book writers, composers and lyricists Trey Parker, Matt Stone and Robert Lopez will also appear at select performances.

The original cast album will also be reissued for the show’s 15th anniversary and will be available in special CD and vinyl editions beginning on June 26.
