# Watch Joshua Boone and company in the recording studio for ‘The Outsiders’

An original cast album for “The Outsiders” was [released](https://www.broadwaynews.com/the-outsiders-musical-to-receive-original-cast-album/) digitally in May and on CD in June. The production has released a video of [Joshua Boone](https://www.broadwaynews.com/5-minutes-with-a-tony-nominee-the-outsiders-joshua-boone/) and the company recording the song “Little Brother.” Boone received a 2024 Tony Award nomination for his featured turn as Dallas Winston.

Featuring a Tony-nominated book by Adam Rapp and Justine Levine and score by Jamestown Revival and Levine, “The Outsiders” follows two groups of Oklahoma youths as they try to find their way in the world. The [Danya Taymor](https://www.broadwaynews.com/staging-a-visceral-tactile-production-of-the-outsiders/)\-directed musical [opened](https://www.broadwaynews.com/the-broadway-review-the-outsiders-a-rival-gang-story-void-of-any-risk/) on Broadway on April 11 at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre. The production received 12 Tony Award nominations, [winning](https://www.broadwaynews.com/2024-tony-award-winners-are-announced/) four, including trophies for Best Musical and Taymor’s direction.
