The cast of Broadway’s “Illinoise” appeared on ABC’s “The View” on July 16\. Brandt Martinez led the company in a performance of the song “Man of Metropolis.”

“Illinoise” tells several stories through dance in a campfire setting, against the soundscape of the music of Sufjan Stevens’ 2005 concept album of the same name. Featuring direction and choreography by [Justin Peck](https://www.broadwaynews.com/5-minutes-with-a-tony-nominee-illinoises-justin-peck/) and a book by Peck and Jackie Sibblies Drury, the musical [opened](https://www.broadwaynews.com/the-broadway-review-illinoise-is-a-rapturous-album-tenderly-brought-to-life/) on April 24 at the St. James Theatre and is scheduled to play a limited engagement through Aug. 10\. The production was nominated for four Tony Awards, winning for Peck’s choreography.
