# Tracy Letts to star alongside Jessie Mueller, Armie Hammer in ‘The Minutes’

Tracy Letts will star in his play “The Minutes” on Broadway this season.

Letts, who penned the new play, will star alongside Jessie Mueller, Armie Hammer, Blair Brown, K. Todd Freeman, Ian Barford and Sally Murphy, both of whom are currently in Letts’ “Linda Vista” on Broadway, Austin Pendleton, Danny McCarthy, Cliff Chamberlain and Jeff Still.

“The Minutes,” which centers on a small town city council meeting, is [directed by Anna D. Shapiro](https://broadwaynews.com/2019/06/20/the-minutes-announces-broadway-run-in-february/?ref=broadwaynews.com) and [will begin previews](https://broadwaynews.com/2019/11/01/the-minutes-announces-first-broadway-preview-date/?ref=broadwaynews.com) at the Cort Theatre on Feb. 25, 2020, with an opening night on March 15\. It will play a 16-week engagement through June 14, 2020.

Letts, who starred in last season’s “All My Sons,” Barford, Chamberlain, Freeman, Letts, Murphy, Pendleton and Shapiro are all members of the Steppenwolf Theatre Company ensemble. “The Minutes” premiered at Steppenwolf Theatre Company in 2017.

This marks the first appearance in a play on Broadway for Mueller, whose recent Broadway credits include “Carousel,” “Waitress” and “Beautiful.”

Hammer, whose film credits include “Call Me by Your Name” and “On the Basis of Sex” returns to Broadway after making his debut in “Straight White Men” in 2018.

Broadway veteran Pendleton returns to the stage after appearing in last season’s “Choir Boy.” Brown last appeared on Broadway in the 2017 play “The Parisian Woman.”

The play is produced by Jeffrey Richards, Rebecca Gold, Carl Moellenberg, Spencer Ross, Steve Traxler and Jacob Soroken Porter.
