# Tonys Awards announces 2026 ceremony date

The date is set for the 2026 Tony Awards. The 79th annual tribute to the Broadway season will take place on June 7 at Radio City Music Hall. The event will be broadcast live across coasts on CBS from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET. A livestream is set for Paramount+ Premium, and Paramount Essential subscribers will be able to view the awards show on demand on June 8.

The Tonys eligibility cut-off date for the 2025-2026 season is April 26 for every Broadway production that meets the other [requirements for eligibility](https://www.broadwaynews.com/tony-awards-administration-committee-meets-for-first-time-to-determine-eligibility-for-the-2025-2026-broadway-season/). [Nominations](https://www.broadwaynews.com/nominating-committee-revealed-for-2026-tony-awards/) will be announced on May 5.

Major category winners of the 2025 Tony Awards [included](https://www.broadwaynews.com/the-2025-tony-award-winners/) Best Musical winner “Maybe Happy Ending” and Best Play recipient “Purpose.” 

A 2026 Tony Awards host and additional details are still to be announced. The Tonys ceremony is produced by Tony Awards Productions, a collaborative effort from the American Theatre Wing and the Broadway League.
