# ‘The Collaboration’ announces third extension

“The Collaboration” has extended for a third time and will now run through Feb. 11 at Manhattan Theatre Club’s Samuel J. Friedman Theatre.

Performances began on Nov. 30\. A [first extension through Jan. 29 was announced](https://broadwaynews.com/2022/12/19/the-collaboration-extends-broadway-run/?ref=broadwaynews.com) ahead of the production’s Dec. 20 opening night, which was then canceled due to a COVID case within the company. (The production has since revised its official opening night to Dec. 18.) Performances [resumed on Dec. 26](https://broadwaynews.com/2022/12/23/the-collaboration-will-resume-on-dec-26/?ref=broadwaynews.com). A [second extension was then announced](https://broadwaynews.com/2023/01/05/the-collaboration-extends-again/?ref=broadwaynews.com) through Feb. 5.

The limited engagement was originally scheduled to run through Jan. 22.

Directed by Kwame Kwei-Armah, “The Collaboration” stars Paul Bettany as Andy Warhol and Jeremy Pope as Jean-Michel Basquiat. They are joined by Krysta Rodriguez as Maya and [Erik Jensen](https://broadwaynews.com/2023/01/12/a-brain-aneurysm-threatened-his-life-now-erik-jensen-is-on-broadway/?ref=broadwaynews.com) as Bruno Bischofberger.

“The Collaboration” is produced on Broadway by Manhattan Theatre Club under artistic director Lynne Meadow and [executive producer Barry Grove](https://broadwaynews.com/2023/01/11/barry-grove-executive-producer-of-manhattan-theatre-club-to-step-down-after-48-years/?ref=broadwaynews.com), along with the Young Vic Theatre, led by artistic director Kwei-Armah and executive director Lucy Davies.

The play first debuted in London at the Young Vic Theatre.

The play is presented by special arrangement with Eleanor Lloyd Productions, Anthology Theatre, Stanley Buchthal and Denis O’Sullivan.
