# Sarah Paulson and Wendell Pierce to announce 2025 Tony Award nominations

The Tony Awards has revealed a pair of hosts to announce the 2025 nominations. Sarah Paulson and Wendell Pierce will share the nominations for the 78th annual Tony Awards on May 1.

Beginning at 8:30 a.m., on CBS Mornings, the duo will announce a selection of the Tonys’ 26 competitive categories, followed at 9 a.m. by the full slate of nominees on the Tony Awards’ official [YouTube page](https://www.youtube.com/tonyawards?ref=broadwaynews.com). As [previously announced](https://www.broadwaynews.com/tony-awards-sets-2025-date-and-return-to-radio-city-music-hall/), the 2025 Tony Awards ceremony, hosted by [Cynthia Erivo](https://www.broadwaynews.com/cynthia-erivo-to-host-2025-tony-awards/), will take place on June 8 at Radio City Music Hall.

Paulson won the 2024 Leading Actress in a Play Tony for her turn in Branden Jacobs-Jenkins’ [“Appropriate.”](https://www.broadwaynews.com/the-broadway-review-branden-jacobs-jenkins-appropriate-is-a-paragon-of-southern-drama/) The previous year, Pierce received a Leading Actor in a Play nod for headlining the 2022 revival of Arthur Miller’s [“Death of a Salesman.”](https://www.broadwaynews.com/director-miranda-cromwell-breathes-stunning-black-life-into-death-of-a-salesman/)

The Tony Awards are presented by the Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.
