Sarah Jessica Parker tested positive for COVID-19 Thursday, leading “Plaza Suite” to cancel its Thursday evening performance.

Her positive test comes after her husband and “Plaza Suite” scene partner, Matthew Broderick, [tested positive for](https://broadwaynews.com/2022/04/05/matthew-broderick-tests-positive-for-covid-19/?ref=broadwaynews.com) COVID-19 Tuesday. In his absence, Parker had been performing opposite standby Michael McGrath.

The status of future performances will be announced at a later date.

“Plaza Suite” is the latest Broadway show to cancel due to COVID-19 cases in the company. “Macbeth” is canceled through April 10 after star Daniel Craig and other members of the company tested positive. “A Strange Loop” [delayed its first preview](https://broadwaynews.com/2022/04/06/a-strange-loop-extends-broadway-performance-cancellations-due-to-covid-19/?ref=broadwaynews.com) to April 11 from April 6 after company members tested positive for the virus.
