# Red Concepción and NaTasha Yvette Williams will return to ‘Chicago’ on Broadway

Broadway’s “Chicago” will welcome back two cast members this September. Beginning on Sept. 7, Red Concepción and Tony Award nominee NaTasha Yvette Williams will return to the show in the roles of Amos Hart and Matron “Mama” Morton, respectively. Current cast members Eddie Cooper and Jacqueline B. Arnold will depart the show following the Sept. 6 performance. 

Williams, a Tony nominee for her role as Sweet Sue in “Some Like It Hot,” first joined the cast of “Chicago” as Mama Morton in 2014\. Her other credits include Broadway’s “Wicked,” “Waitress” and “Chicken & Biscuits.” Williams has returned to the role of Mama Morton repeatedly, most recently from Sept. 16, 2024, through Jan. 19, 2025.

Concepción made his Broadway debut in the role of Amos on Jan. 15, 2024, and has since returned to the role twice, most recently from June 22 through July 19, 2026\. He also appeared as the Engineer in the 2018 national tour of “Miss Saigon.”

Featuring a book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, the revival of “Chicago” opened at Broadway’s Richard Rodgers Theatre on Nov. 14, 1996\. Following transfers to the Shubert Theatre then Ambassador Theatre, still playing at the latter today, “Chicago” is the second-longest-running Broadway show of all time with 11,744 performances as of Aug. 30\. “Chicago” received eight Tony nominations in 1997, winning six, including Best Revival of a Musical. It is produced on Broadway by Barry and Fran Weissler.
