Producers Carmen Pavlovic and Bill Damaschke announced Tuesday that Chloe Beck has been appointed Director of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion for “Moulin Rouge! The Musical.”

Beck, who has already been in the newly created role since July 12, will work on the Broadway and national tour productions as well as the forthcoming West End and Australian productions. She will drive the productions’ initiatives aimed at creating a more equitable, diverse and inclusive environment.

“It’s time to not only wish for “truth, beauty, freedom and love” in this world, but time to work towards it,” said Beck in a press release. “The time for systematic change on Broadway is now and I’m ecstatic to be one of the leaders of that change.”
