The Michael Jackson estate and Columbia Live Stage are developing a stage musical about Jackson’s life.

The musical will feature a book by Lynn Nottage, who is also writing the book for [the world premiere of “The Secret Life of Bees.”](https://broadwaynews.com/2018/05/17/musical-adaptation-secret-life-bees-world-premiere-2019/?ref=broadwaynews.com) Christopher Wheeldon will direct and choreograph.

The score will feature songs from Jackson.

The musical, which is not yet titled, is “expected” to come to Broadway in 2020.
