Broadway advertising and marketing agency SpotCo has announced that Lisa Lewis will rejoin the team as executive creative director, effective Oct. 5\. Lewis previously worked at SpotCo from 2010 to 2020, first as a copywriter then as a senior copywriter and later as creative director of copy and content. In her new role, Lewis will drive the agency’s creative vision across its work for clients in theater, live entertainment, attractions and culture-driven brands.

Lewis will lead day-to-day creative execution, working closely across SpotCo’s departments to strengthen deliverables. She’ll also play a major role in business development. Senior creative team members will now report to Lewis. In turn, Lewis will report to Callie Goff, SpotCo’s co-managing director and chief creative officer; Goff will continue to manage the agency’s overall creative vision, with a focus on agency-wide initiatives and innovations.

SpotCo co-founder Tom Greenwald served as SpotCo’s most recent executive creative director. Lewis is the first to take up the role since 2015.

Before this return to SpotCo, Lewis most recently served as senior creative director at AKA, where she led projects such as the Emmy-nominated launch film for George Clooney’s “Good Night, and Good Luck,” the Clio Award-winning documentary series “Welcome to Hell’s Kitchen,” following Alicia Keys on the show’s journey to Broadway and the Tony Award campaign for Lincoln Center Theater’s “Ragtime.” Lewis has also worked on campaigns for films from New Line Cinema, Tribeca Productions and more. Prior to AKA, Lewis’ 10 years at SpotCo included work on the launch of “Hamilton,” among other projects.

“SpotCo was a formative part of my career, and I’m returning with a broader perspective, having spent the last several years leading teams, building campaigns across theater and film and expanding my work as a writer and director,” Lewis said in a statement.

“We’re focused on what SpotCo becomes next and our ambition to be one of the most exciting creative forces in the business,” Lewis added. “I’m excited to work alongside Callie to make work that pushes the industry forward, taking big swings, surprising ourselves and our clients and creating the kind of advertising that gets people talking.”

“Lisa knows what makes SpotCo special, and she’s the kind of creative leader who makes everyone around her better,” said Goff. “She’s an exceptional writer and a visionary thinker who knows our industry inside and out. We couldn’t be more excited to have Lisa back at SpotCo and helping shape what comes next."

SpotCo is one of Broadway’s long-standing advertising and marketing agencies, having launched in 1996\. Its current client roster includes “Hadestown,” “Just in Time,” “MJ” and Roundabout Theatre Company.
