# ‘Frozen’ will launch a national tour in fall 2019

The Broadway musical “Frozen” is going on tour in the fall of 2019, [beginning in Schenectady](https://broadwaynews.com/2017/11/29/empire-state-tax-credit-brings-money-upstate-issues-producers/?ref=broadwaynews.com), New York.

After Schenectady, the tour will officially open at The Hollywood Pantages in Los Angeles. Dates and other cities will be announced at a later date, with casting announced next year.

The Broadway musical, with [music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez](https://broadwaynews.com/2018/04/18/how-frozen-on-broadway-is-capitalizing-on-its-popular-appeal/?ref=broadwaynews.com) and a book by Jennifer Lee, opened at the St. James Theatre on Broadway on March 22.

The musical is directed by Michael Grandage and produced by Disney Theatrical Productions.
