The Terrence McNally play, starring Audra McDonald and Michael Shannon, was originally slated to play a limited engagement through Aug. 25\. The show, which opened at the Broadhurst Theatre on May 30, posts an early closing after only bringing in about a quarter of its box office potential every week since opening.

It posted its lowest box office tally last week, with $231,745, or 20% of its gross potential.
