# Elizabeth Teeter joins ‘Beetlejuice’ alongside original Broadway cast members

Elizabeth Teeter will take on the role of Lydia when “Beetlejuice” returns to Broadway this spring.

Teeter, who recently led the Off-Broadway musical “The Secret Life of Bees,” will star [alongside Alex Brightman](https://broadwaynews.com/2022/02/09/alex-brightman-to-star-in-return-of-beetlejuice-on-broadway/?ref=broadwaynews.com) as Beetlejuice. Returning original cast members include Kerry Butler, Adam Dannheisser, Leslie Rodriguez Kritzer, Kelvin Moon Loh, Danny Rutigliano and Dana Steingold.

David Josefsberg, who replaced Rob McClure in the musical’s first Broadway run, is also set to return. New to the production are Michelle Aravena as Miss Argentina (a role doubled by Kritzer in the original Broadway production) and Zonya Love as Maxine Dean/Juno.

Sophia Anne Caruso, who originated the role of Lydia, [departed the production](https://broadwaynews.com/2020/02/21/sophia-anne-caruso-departs-broadway-cast-of-beetlejuice/?ref=broadwaynews.com) in February 2020.

The musical played the Winter Garden Theatre from April 2019 until the pandemic forced the closure of all Broadway theaters. It was scheduled to vacate the theater in June 2020 after the Shubert Organization invoked a [stop clause](https://broadwaynews.com/2019/12/16/beetlejuice-brings-attention-to-broadways-stop-clause/?ref=broadwaynews.com) in the production’s theater rental agreement.

“Beetlejuice” is now set to reopen at the Marquis Theatre on April 8.

The company also features Kate Bailey, Will Blum, Ryan Breslin, Natalie Charle Ellis, Brooke Engen, Eric Anthony Johnson, Andrew Kober, Elliott Mattox, Mateo Melendez, Ramone Owens, Commodore C. Primous III, Nevada Riley and Graham Stevens.

“Beetlejuice” features a score by Eddie Perfect and a book by Scott Brown and Anthony King. The production is directed by Alex Timbers with choreography by Connor Gallagher, set design by David Korins, costume design by William Ivey Long and lighting design by Kenneth Posner. The producing team is led by Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures and Langley Park Productions.
