# ‘Diana’ moves up Broadway reopening by one month

“Diana” has moved its first preview date up one month to Nov. 2.

The musical, which was among the first to announce for the new season, had previously set [a return date](https://broadwaynews.com/2021/03/30/diana-musical-sets-date-for-broadway-return-netflix-premiere/?ref=broadwaynews.com) of Dec. 1\. The new opening night date at the Longacre Theatre is scheduled for Nov. 17.

“There is a huge groundswell of energy surrounding Broadway’s reopening news and we are looking forward to having many things to celebrate with our Broadway colleagues this Fall. We are very happy to get our company back onstage a month earlier than we had anticipated and are eager to safely welcome audiences back to the Longacre Theatre,” “Diana” producers Beth Williams, Frank Marshall and the Araca Group said.

The musical’s Netflix presentation will stream starting Oct. 1.

“Diana,” which [features a book and lyrics](https://broadwaynews.com/2020/01/10/diana-announces-complete-broadway-casting/?ref=broadwaynews.com) by Joe DiPietro, music and lyrics by David Bryan and direction by Christopher Ashley, played nine preview performances before the Broadway shutdown.

The musical stars Jeanna de Waal as Diana, Roe Hartrampf as Prince Charles, Erin Davie as Camilla Parker Bowles and Judy Kaye as Queen Elizabeth.

The complete castincludes Zach Adkins, Tessa Alves, Ashley Andrews, Austen Danielle Bohmer, Holly Ann Butler, Stephen Carrasco, Richard Gatta, Lauren E.J. Hamilton, Emma Hearn, Shaye B.
