# ‘Dance Moms’ star Kenzie Ziegler joins Broadway’s ‘& Juliet’

“Dance Moms” star Kenzie Ziegler will make her Broadway debut in “& Juliet” this fall. Ziegler will begin performances in the role of Charmion on September 15 at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre. Halima Dodo will play her final performance as Charmion on September 13\. Ziegler will perform the role for a limited engagement through November 1.

“I can’t believe I actually get to make my Broadway debut in this amazing show,” Ziegler said in a statement. “I’m so excited to work with the wonderful team at ‘& Juliet.’” 

Ziegler is a singer, actress, dancer and entrepreneur who has built a global audience of more than 40 million followers across social platforms. In 2024, she released her sophomore album, “biting my tongue,” via Hollywood Records. Expanding her acting career, Kenzie can most recently be seen starring in the independent feature “She Dances” alongside Ethan Hawke and Steve Zahn, which premiered this year at the Tribeca Film Festival.

In other “& Juliet” news, Joey Fatone and Tony winner Paulo Szot are extending in the show through November 1\. They alternate in the role of Lance with Fatone taking on the role from September 1-6, September 23 through October 11 and October 20 through November 1\. Szot plays the part from August 18-30 and October 13-18\. Reese Britts will play the role for all other performances through November 1\. Corey Mach is also extending his run as Shakespeare through October 4.

In additiontoFatone and Szot, “& Juliet” stars Gianna Harris as Juliet, with Alison Luff as Anne, Mach as Shakespeare, Michael Iván Carrier as May, Chrissy Metz as Angélique, Ben Jackson Walker as Romeo and Nathan Levy as François, with social media star Anthony Gargiula succeeding Levy on September 15\. 

Created by David West Read and directed by Luke Sheppard with choreography by Jennifer Weber, “& Juliet” flips the script on Shakespeare’s tragedy, imagining what would happen if Juliet hadn’t ended it all over Romeo and instead got a second chance at life and love — on her own terms. “& Juliet” features a soundtrack jam-packed with superproducer Max Martin’s catalogue of pop hits, including “Since U Been Gone,” “Teenage Dream,” “Baby One More Time,” “I Want It That Way” and more.
