# ‘Come From Away’ announces Sept. 21 Broadway return

“Come From Away” will return to Broadway on Sept. 21.

The musical, which is shooting [a filmed version](https://broadwaynews.com/2021/04/30/apple-original-films-to-distribute-come-from-away-film/?ref=broadwaynews.com) of the production this month, will release tickets Monday. The reopening announcement follows Gov. Andrew [Cuomo’s declaration](https://broadwaynews.com/2021/05/05/broadway-to-reopen-sept-14-cuomo-says/?ref=broadwaynews.com) that Broadway shows can resume at full capacity starting Sept. 14.

Since then, “Chicago” has said it will [start performances](https://broadwaynews.com/2021/05/07/chicago-will-return-to-broadway-on-sept-14/?ref=broadwaynews.com) on Sept. 14, followed by “Six” on [Sept. 17](https://broadwaynews.com/2021/05/06/six-will-resume-broadway-performances-on-sept-17/?ref=broadwaynews.com), “Mrs. Doubtfire” on Oct. 21 and [“The Phantom of the Opera”](https://broadwaynews.com/2021/05/05/the-phantom-of-the-opera-announces-broadway-return-in-october/?ref=broadwaynews.com) on Oct. 22\. Several other productions have announced a fall return, but not yet set a date.

“Come From Away” opened on Broadway on March 12, 2017\. The musical features a book and score by Irene Sankoff and David Hein and direction by Christopher Ashley.

Casting for the return has not yet been announced.
