The producers of “It’s a Wonderful Life” have announced the final casting for the show’s upcoming Broadway premiere. Jeanna de Waal and Martin Landry have joined the production as standbys for all principal roles.

De Waal originated the titular role in “Diana,” the Princess Diana bio-musical, in its La Jolla Playhouse premiere, a role she later reprised on Broadway. Most recently, she appeared as a standby for Mrs. Lovett and the Beggar Woman in the 2023 Broadway revival of “Sweeney Todd.”

Landry made his Broadway debut in “Oh, Mary!,” playing the dual roles of Mary’s Husband’s Assistant and Kyle from Sept. 16 through Nov. 16, 2025\. He currently serves as an understudy for the same roles, in addition to Mary’s Husband and Mary’s Teacher.

As [previously announced](https://www.broadwaynews.com/andrew-rannells-megan-hilty-and-tituss-burgess-to-star-in-broadways-its-a-wonderful-life-a-live-radio-play/), “It’s a Wonderful Life” will star two-time Tony Award nominees Andrew Rannells and Megan Hilty as George and Mary Bailey, respectively. Tituss Burgess will play the angel Clarence. Harry Hamlin and Lisa Rinna will be Mr. Potter (and others) and Violet (and others), respectively.

“It’s a Wonderful Life” is based on the 1946 film of the same name, in which an angel is sent from heaven to convince businessman George Bailey of the value of his life on Christmas Eve. The stage adaptation, penned by Joe Landry, unfolds as a 1940s radio play, featuring a live Foley artist and holiday carols. The adaptation debuted at Connecticut’s Stamford Center for the Arts in 1996; this production marks its Broadway premiere.

“It’s a Wonderful Life” is being produced on Broadway by Seaview, WJP, No Guarantees Productions and Broadway and Beyond Theatricals.
