Broadway Green Alliance (BGA) has announced that its fall 2026 textile drive will take place on Sept. 23 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Representatives of BGA will accept textiles across from the red steps in Duffy Square, at the corner of 46th Street and Seventh Avenue. The drive is open to all, including shows, theaters, industry members and members of the public, as a free resource to reuse and recycle unwanted textiles.

BGA textile drives accept both personal and show fabrics, including used and clean clothing, shoes, curtains, hats, linens, towels, handbags and belts. Rugs, carpets, comforters, pillows, household items, luggage, fabric yardage and fabric scraps will not be accepted.

Ninety-five percent of textiles collected during BGA drives are reused or recycled through BGA’s partner, [Helpsy](https://www.helpsy.com/?ref=broadwaynews.com). Usable clothing is resold to thrift stores and other secondhand markets worldwide, while the remainder of the donations are turned into rags, stuffing or insulation.

Outside of BGA’s drives, community members can also drop off approved items at the refashionNYC textile bin, located in the the Actors’ Equity Association lounge on the fourth floor of 165 West 46th Street. The bin is available only on days when on-site Equity auditions are taking place.

To date, BGA has diverted over 31,000 pounds of textiles from landfills through its recycling efforts.
