Broadway’s “Chicago” will welcome back cast member Bianca Marroquín beginning on Nov. 16\. Marroquín will take over the role of Roxie Hart, replacing current Roxie and Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders alum Reece Weaver, who will play her final performance in “Chicago” on Nov. 15.

Marroquín will join the cast of “Chicago” on the evening of its [previously announced](https://www.broadwaynews.com/broadways-chicago-to-celebrate-30th-anniversary-with-special-benefit-performance/) 30th anniversary gala performance. In 2002, she made her Broadway debut in the show as a replacement in the role of Roxie. Marroquín has repeatedly returned to “Chicago,” playing both Roxie and Velma Kelly on Broadway across more than 4,000 performances. She most recently appeared on the Main Stem as Velma in the summer of 2025\.

“Chicago” opened at the Richard Rodgers Theatre on Nov. 14, 1996, earning eight Tony nominations and winning six, including Best Revival of a Musical. The musical transferred to the Shubert Theatre in 1997 before landing at the Ambassador Theatre in 2003, where it has remained. It is the second-longest-running show in Broadway history and the longest still running today.

“Chicago” is produced on Broadway by Barry and Fran Weissler.
