# Backstreet Boys’ AJ McLean will host sing-along at Broadway’s ‘& Juliet’

Broadway’s “& Juliet” will offer a sing-along event following the 7 p.m. performance on May 16\. AJ McLean, a member of the Backstreet Boys, will host the event at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre. All ticket holders are invited to join after the performance.

“& Juliet” features a slew of Max Martin songs, including several made famous by the Backstreet Boys: “I Want It That Way,” “Show Me the Meaning,” “Everybody,” “As Long as You Love Me” and “Shape of My Heart.”

Featuring a Tony Award-nominated book by David West Read, “& Juliet” explores an alternative ending to Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet” in which the titular heroine survives and decides her own destiny. The musical [opened](https://www.broadwaynews.com/juliet-is-a-pop-musical-that-remixes-the-bard-with-backstreet-boys/) on Nov. 17, 2022 and was nominated for nine 2023 Tony awards, including Best Musical.
