# Ariana Madix extends run in Broadway’s ‘Chicago’

Reality television star Ariana Madix has lengthened her stay in “Chicago”’s Cook County Jail. [Originally slated](https://www.broadwaynews.com/vanderpump-rules-star-ariana-madix-to-make-broadway-debut-in-chicago/) to play the role of Roxie Hart through March 28, Madix will now stay with the long-running revival through April 7.

Madix joined the company of “Chicago” at the Ambassador Theatre on Jan. 29\. During the [first week](https://www.broadwaynews.com/purlie-victorious-and-harmony-conclude-runs-with-highest-grossing-weeks-overall-broadway-box-office-slides/) of Madix’s tenure (week ending Feb. 4), the musical grossed $939,177, a 41% increase from the week prior.

In addition to Madix, the current principal cast of “Chicago” includes Amra-Faye Wright as Velma Kelly, [Max von Essen](https://www.broadwaynews.com/max-von-essen-to-join-broadways-chicago/) as Billy Flynn, Lili Thomas as Matron “Mama” Morton, [Red Concepción](https://www.broadwaynews.com/red-concepcion-will-make-broadway-debut-in-chicago/) as Amos Hart and R. Lowe as Mary Sunshine. Casting is by ARC/Duncan Stewart.

The second-longest running production in Broadway history, the Tony Award-winning “Chicago” revival celebrated 27 years on the Main Stem on Nov. 14, 2023.
