# ‘Stereophonic’ and ‘The Outsiders’ take top honors at 2024 Tony Awards

Winners of the 2024 Tony Awards have been revealed.

“Stereophonic,” which entered the evening with 13 nominations — a record for a straight play — won five awards, including Best Play. The David Adjmi drama with music was the ceremony’s most-decorated production.

“The Outsiders” was named Best Musical, winning four awards (out of 12 nominations total).

The award for Best Revival of a Musical went to “Merrily We Roll Along,” which won three additional awards.

Branden Jacobs-Jenkins’ “Appropriate” was awarded Best Revival of a Play, one of its three accolades.

The 77th annual Tony Awards, which honored Broadway productions of the 2023-2024 season, took place on June 16 at Lincoln Center’s David H. Koch Theater.
