Ariana Madix will return to the cast of “Chicago” on Broadway. Madix will re-assume the role of Roxie Hart from Aug. 1 to Aug. 27 at the Ambassador Theatre. Bianca Marroquín, the current Roxie, will play her final performance on June 25. Casting for the role of Roxie from June 27 through July 30 will be announced.

Madix held a previous tenure at “Chicago”’s Cook County Jail earlier this year, having made her Broadway debut as Roxie from January to April. A finalist on the 32nd season of ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars,” Madix appeared for several seasons on the Bravo reality television series “Vanderpump Rules.” Her mixology cookbook, “Single AF Cocktails: Drinks for Bad B*tches,” was published in December 2023.

The current principal cast of “Chicago” also includes Robyn Hurder as Velma Kelly, Max von Essen as Billy Flynn, NaTasha Yvette Williams as Matron “Mama” Morton, Red Concepción as Amos Hart and R. Lowe as Mary Sunshine. Casting is by ARC/Duncan Stewart.

Featuring a score by John Kander and Fred Ebb and a book by Ebb and Bob Fosse, “Chicago” is directed by Walter Bobbie and choreographed by Ann Reinking. The musical opened on Nov. 14, 1996 and is the second-longest running show (play or musical) in Broadway history.

“Chicago” is produced by Barry and Fran Weissler.
